Genetic anomaly, some of the best looking girls with cool personalities live on the Island, something a group of the arriving single men embraced. Going from the literal desert that is Aberdeen in December 2011, this set positive beginnings for a very special 4 years living in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The first time in my life where the three most important factors in my life aligned: stimulating work, cherished romantic relationship and great friends on tap whenever needed. Add to that an exciting place to live with many fun outdoor and indoor activities to do, this island will forever remain a positive memory.

Sleeping in the snow after a big night out in February 2013, (getting into taxi’s and returning for a game of touch rugby with bruises all over, supportive group comments). Snowdrops, remains of people in the summer melt who had fallen asleep in the snow. Thankfully didn’t happen.
