Renewable Energy was once on the Island. A robust Wind and Solar system was installed by an aid organisation. Alas none of the locals were trained in the operations and maintenance of the system, so it stands unused. A shame, as many carbon sequestering trees were cut down to make way for this supposed atmospheric carbon reduction technology.
