Elephants have the ability to change the environment. Through their habit of uprooting trees, to get at the best leaves, their browsing habits change woodlands to grassland in just a few years. However destructive, leaving the tree at location provides a habitat for smaller creatures to use the remains, developing a new habitat and ecosystem. Habitat change in a natural manner. Present actions remove the trees from the forest to support the timber trade and agriculture. Natural vegetation should be replaced to enable these animals to move between forest fragments.
